Our Mu transposase is the wild type enzyme from the Mu phage. The natural function of the enzyme is to amplify the phage genome in the infected bacterial cells by transposing the phage genome repeatedly.

Mu transposase
Our Mu transposase is the wild type enzyme from the Mu phage. The natural function of the enzyme is to amplify the phage genome in the infected bacterial cells by transposing the phage genome repeatedly. We have isolated the enzyme responsible for this transposition and provide it here purified.

Haloferax volcanii
insertion library
Transposons are powerful tools for the generation of insertion mutant libraries in various organisms, in which each gene is tagged by an insertion. Our Haloferax volcanii library contains an exhaustive pool of mutants, in which each clone contains one genomic insertion of a transposon in a random position and with a full-genome coverage.
